The death fast resistance of #SibelBalaç and #İleriKızılatun, who are resisting for the right of treatment of sick prisoners, must be heard! They are dying for the life of more than 600 seriously ill prisoners.
Teacher Sibel Balac continues her death fast resistance for 281 days. She was taken to Ankara Diskapi Hospital 2 weeks ago for urgent examinations, following the application of her lawyers to postpone her execution. But after keeping Sibel unnecessarily 2 weeks and deteriorating her health state, today she has been taken back to prison in a hurry.
Though a report of the health board of the hospital stated that Sibel “can’t manage her life at her own”, it wrote that it was not necessary to postpone her prison sentence.
Sibel weighs only 37 kilos, after losing additional 3 kilos while waiting for her report in hospital. Her life is at risk and despite even the health report said that she can’t stay alone, today she was put alone in a temporary cell at Bakirköy’s Women Closed Prison and her lawyer’s visit was denied with the excuse that the 1st and 2nd prison directors, warden and sergeant warden were not in the prison during the weekend.
